Today, we are reviewing SEO Power Suite by Link-Assistant. This seo software is supposedly the best seo software out there. We decided to take it for a test drive…
Before we get into that, let’s go over exactly what SEO PowerSuite Is:
It consists of 4 programs:
Seo Spyglass- which tells you the number of backlinks for your competitor sites, their PR, etc. It also can tell you where to get high quality backlinks, suggested anchor texts,
number of links a site should attain to be on top and much more.
Link Assistant – is basically a link management tool that helps with building up your linking directories till the establishment of link partnerships. It even allows you to
email with in the system.
Website Auditor – This helps with your on site SEO examining your site and telling you where it needs to be fixed and optimized for.
Rank Checker – Possibly the best tool in the bunch in my opinion. This little guy helps with keyword research as well as checks your rankings from over 579 different search
engines. The user interface is so intuitive and easy to use making it newbie friendly to check your rankings fast.
Pros:
- Pro 1 It allows you to promote your sites in 663 local and international search engines
- Pro 2 It is one of the only professional softwares that work on both Win and Mac.
- Pro 3 It can perform a multitude of functions to help you achieve top 10 rankings in google.
Cons:
- Con 1 It is expensive!! – 249 for the professional edition PLUS you have to pay 125.00 per year to keep the software updated. You can also pay 99.95 if you want to just buy one of the 4 programs…but you’ll still have to pay 49.95 for unlimited updates for the year, every single year.
- Con 2 It is almost overwhelming for the average user which makes it kind of clunky to move around in. The software is designed more for seo firms and big companies who need reports printed out.
- Con 3 The suggestions in the reports are not really up to date seo tactics. Sure, they will help you improve your rankings but in today’s SEO, it is much harder to get ranked for your keywords. You’ll most likely need to use other seo tactics.
The research function is very simple and basic and not as complete and detailed as other keyword research software found on the net—this is in the rank checker software. This can be both good and bad. Good for the newbie, but bad if you are an advanced seo person. The rank checker seemed to be the only tool that wasn’t quite as complicated as the others.
Summary:
In conclusion, this is a solid seo software that is honestly geared to the more advanced user. There needs to be more help videos and teaching tools to help you to really make use of their software… unfortunately, there isn’t. For the 249 dollar price and the fact that you’d have to pay 150 dollars per year to keep the tool updated, I’d say to find a cheaper alternative unless you are REALLY into SEO and plan on making a career out of it. Otherwise, find a simpler, easier seo software that has the training for you and that has a lot of the same features as SEO Spyglass.
