Online marketing services received gladdening news from comScore, which reported strong acceleration in the American online retail sector, with buyers finding $34 billion (around £23.5 billion) to spend between the months of January and March. Online Marketing Compared to the same three months of 2009 there was a 10 per cent increase in online spending, welcome news to online marketing agencies, given the current financial outlook. Figures this good have not been seen since the double digit growth of 2008s second quarter. It is thought that the increase was led by upper income households earning over $100K – increasing their online spend by 14 per cent. Internet Marketing Now seems to be a good time to be in the internet marketing and retail business, with a reported gain of market share by pureplay (internet only) firms, at the expense of traditional or mixed platform retailers.
